During Lent we all went out to an Ethiopian restaurant, to sample the delicious vegetarian fare of another Orthodox country.

One of the parishioners from St. Silouan the Athonite Church, the parish associated with St. John the Compassionate Mission, joins in the Saturday morning volunteering, and gets snagged into our picture.

The icon is called Christ Pantocrator, and the inscription around the icon is a quote from Psalm 79 (80):15: "Lord, Lord, look down from heaven and behold, and visit this vineyard, which Your right hand planted, and perfect it."
