Our first official event of the year will be a visit to St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, located at 115 Bond St, in downtown Toronto, near the Ryerson campus. Click here to see a map. This church is renowned for its beautiful iconography. Read about the church here and come join us for the visit! Our schedule for the visit is as follows:
At 7pm, we will begin the Vespers service, the evening prayer service in the Orthodox church. The Vespers will be served by Fr. Spyridon, of St. George’s. After the service, Tim Prattas, the Youth Director of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis, will give a talk about the history of the church and its beautiful iconography.
Everyone is invited to come to the Vespers and the talk, and there is no charge for this event. Please arrive on time or a few minutes early for the Vespers.
