- Icon classes at St. Vladimir Institute:
- Intensive hands-on Byzantine-style icon writing course led by iconographer Olexa Mezentsev. Write your own icon using the ancient technique of egg tempera in just ten weeks.

- Run by Fr. Roberto Ubertino, these study classes which are open to all are held on Wednesday evenings, at 6:55pm, in the basement of St. John the Compassionate Mission, and are normally followed by Compline, the evening prayer service of the Orthodox church. The classes study various topics during the year. See their website for the current theme.
- Another of their educational initiatives is the Lived Theology School, a residential school intended for those who wish to immerse themselves in a life of Orthodox mission for a year.
- St. Silouan’s is located at St. John the Compassionate Mission, a non-profit drop-in centre and community for people in need.

- This exhibit of icons and other religious items is located in the University of Toronto Art Centre, and includes artefacts from Byzantium, and post-Byzantium, as well a large collection of icons from the 16th to the 20th century, and several Coptic frescoes.
